Kristen is the Chief Learning Officer at Khan Academy, where she has been driving the instructional and pedagogical strategy since May 2020. In this role, she ensures that Khan Academy’s offerings are research-backed and focused on improving learner outcomes, while leading the content and product management teams. Prior to this, Kristen spent over eight years at Pearson, where she served as Vice-President of Learning Research and Design, leading a team of 30 education researchers. Her extensive experience includes roles as a Principal Research Scientist at Pearson and an Evaluation Specialist at Cisco Learning Institute, with a strong foundation in learning science and digital educational environments.
